Western Australia’s Storyteller’s Gathering
This event was a crazy idea that started in 2024 after I returned from studying storytelling the U.K.
I wanted to bring storytellers across Western Australia together and find ways we could collaborate and build storytelling as an artform. The first event in 2025 had 24 people come together for food, community and story, and from that a number of projects were launched or were reimagined and connections built or strengthened.
In 2026 the theme is Bees in the Hive. We are all storytellers doing our bit for the storytelling “hive”, and everyone has a place. There is room for all types of storytelling and storytellers in this community.
